AI forecasting

Use the Forecast prompt category to ask for a forward-looking interpretation of available historical trend data.

Where to find it

Open Ask AI and ask a time-bounded question such as "Project next week revenue if current trends hold" or use the Forecast tile. The embedded chat on a video page automatically scopes the request to that video unless you ask for a wider comparison.

What the current implementation can use

Ask AI can retrieve day-by-day views, revenue, retention, or conversion series for a workspace or video, capped at 90 points. It can summarize the trend, state assumptions, discuss risks, and may draw a basic chart.

The current response contract does not provide a dedicated statistical forecast model, low/high interval, confidence-band series, spend model, or alert configuration. Any forward-looking number is an AI interpretation of available history, not a guaranteed computed confidence interval.

How to use it

  1. State the metric, scope, horizon, and assumptions.
  2. Check which historical period and data the answer used.
  3. Treat forward-looking values as scenarios, not guarantees.
  4. Re-run the question when traffic, spend, content, or experiment conditions change.
  5. Monitor actual results in Analytics.

Best practices

  • Keep the horizon explicit and reasonably short.
  • Ask the answer to state assumptions and evidence gaps.
  • Do not infer statistical confidence from a basic chart.
  • Verify important planning decisions against source analytics.

Frequently asked questions

Does Ask AI calculate a confidence band?

The current structured output has no dedicated confidence-band field or statistical forecast contract. A response may discuss uncertainty, but do not treat it as a validated interval.

Which data can it use?

It can retrieve historical workspace or video trends for views, revenue, retention, and conversions, plus other available analytics context.

Can it alert me when a projection changes?

No. There is no dedicated forecast-alert setup in the current app; monitor the metric in Analytics and ask again when conditions change.
