AI captions & dubbing

Atomicat AI localizes your videos so the markets that convert best can hear your pitch in their own language—from one upload. It generates auto-captions, auto-translated captions, and native-voice AI dubs, and the player can serve the right language to each viewer.

Where to find it

There is no separate workspace-level screen. Open a video and select Settings → Captions, dubbing & transcript.

For text-only caption settings, see Captions & subtitles.

Auto-captions

Turn on AI auto-captions to have AtomicPlayer transcribe the video on upload. Captions are especially valuable on mobile, where viewers often start muted.

Auto-translate

From your source captions, AtomicPlayer can generate translated caption tracks in additional languages. Toggle which languages appear in the player's caption menu.

Native-voice AI dubs

Enable AI dub tracks in Customize → Subtitles & Audio (or set defaults in the Studio). AtomicPlayer generates spoken translations so viewers hear the pitch in their own language. You can also run dubbing as an A/B test kind to compare languages.

Serve per viewer

Once you have captions or dubs in multiple languages, the player can serve the right language based on the viewer's locale.

How to use it

  1. Open a processed video and select Settings.
  2. Under Languages, choose one or more targets.
  3. Select Captions only, Dub only, or Captions + dub. Review the credit quote, then generate.
  4. Use Free transcript for browser-based Whisper transcription. Keep the tab open while it runs.
  5. Download available text as SRT, VTT, or timestamped TXT.

For the consolidated workflow, see the planned Captions, dubs, and transcription article.

Best practices

  • Start with captions. They are the cheapest lift and help completion on mobile immediately.
  • Dub your best converters first. Localize the videos that already perform in a market before expanding.
  • Review before you serve. AI localization is strong, but spot-check the tone on your highest-traffic assets.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I generate dubs?

Open the video's Settings tab, choose target languages under Captions, dubbing & transcript, select Dub only or Captions + dub, and review the credit quote.

Do I need a separate upload per language?

No. Captions, translations, and dubs are generated from one upload, and the player serves the right language per viewer.

Can I download the transcript?

Yes. Available caption and transcript text can be downloaded as SRT, VTT, or timestamped TXT.

Will captions help on mobile?

Usually yes. Mobile plays silent by default, so enabling captions can lift mobile completion on similar VSLs.
